LTI
Learning Tools Interoperability
This document will explain how LTI works in itslearning and what is supported. It will not describe how to develop a LTI tool. The information required for the development is available from IMS Global and the general specifications can be found at IMS Global - Learning Tools Interoperability.
itslearning is certified for supporting tools conforming to the LTI 1.0 or LTI 1.1 specifications, including the outcome service to post assessment results back from the tool provider (3 rd party) to the tool consumer (itslearning). In addition itslearning now supports LTI Deep Linking 1.0 for exchanging content between applications and tool.
There are two main approaches to work with LTI tools in itslearning:
-
Ad-Hoc LTI tools set up by teachers in courses (or imported)
-
LTI tools pre-set up by the district or school using Developer Portal
